Before completing her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland, Miranda graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in classical and contemporary dance at Queensland University of Technology.
Miranda is passionate about health and wellbeing and believes in empowering clients with education and movement. She strives to use her knowledge and dance experience to help her clients understand the anatomy and mechanics of their bodies and to achieve their goals.Miranda also has experience in working as a fitness instructor holding her certificate 3 and 4 in fitness and personal training, which assists her in ensuring her clients are moving well and feeling great.
Miranda has worked for ten years as a professional dancer for stage and film in Australia and internationally. During her dance training Miranda received her Advanced 2 certificate from the Royal Academy of Dance and her Teaching Certificate from the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing.
Miranda has ten years of experience in choreographing, teaching and adjudicating dance and has a strong interest in the mechanics that underpin the dancing body. As a dancer and choreographer Miranda has worked for Expressions Dance Company, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Powerhouse, and for bands such as Powder finger. As a teacher, Miranda has worked with professional and pre-professional dancers at Queensland University of Technology, Queensland Dance School of Excellence, Australian Dance Performance Institute and Queensland National Ballet.
Outside of the clinic Miranda can be found in a yoga class, teaching dance or jogging with her Australian Kelpie, Pedro. She loves travelling internationally and experiencing different cultures and customs, so be sure to share your travel pics with her!
